Baseball Parents & Coaches Should Do This More Often

Baseball parents and coaches should build up their players more often. This game will knock them down enough. They need to know you care before they care what you know.

You want to make sure your advice or guidance registers and in order to do that, you need to make sure you are building trust and goodwill.

I know you parents out there would die for you kids, but screaming and yelling at them or getting frustrated with them is not the right approach to helping their improvement.

And I know you coaches want to see your players get better and grow to be gifted athletes and good people, but we have to make sure that the expectations and the pressure we put on our players is healthy.

We need to build them up first instead of throwing little mental daggers that eventually tear them down. If they don’t have their mental game right, they will underachieve and under perform every single time.

I mean, this is one of the biggest esteem-destroying sports in the world.

If your player has great abilities, but their abilities aren’t showing up, it is not their abilities at fault…it is about their mind. And parents/coaches play an important role in this process.

And if you look at the best payers at the big-league level, you will notice they did not get there alone. They had someone in their corner nurturing their development in a positive way.

Your player is no different.
